Bill Southwick serves as President and CEO of HealthMark Partners, Inc. (HMP) based in Nashville, Tennessee. He is chiefly responsible for the ASC turnaround strategies deployed by HMP and creative joint venture structures that have enabled HMP to partner with both physicians and hospitals in developing new or taking over underperforming facilities. With a background that includes both physician practice management and financial planning, Bill understands the dynamics of physician partnership and helps guide business structuring decisions that effect physician practice interests, and hospital mission, while generating ample return on investment for joint venture parties. It is this experience that has helped HMP gain a reputation for getting things done on physician/hospital joint ventures.
Prior to joining HMP Bill formed Southwick Financial Associates, which through merger managed over $100mm in client assets prior to sale. In 1996 Bill entered the healthcare business by helping start HealthMark Partners, Inc. (formerly Women’s Health Partners) the current parent corporation to Surgical Health Partners, (SHP).
Bill earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, as well as certification from the American College as a Certified Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.
